Liraglutide is a once daily injectable medication that helps reduce hunger and food cravings. It works by acting like a natural hormone in your body, Glucagon Like Peptide. The change in the structure of GLP-1 allows it to stay in the body for up to 1 day.

Saxenda is used for the treatment of obesity. Victoza is used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes.

The main difference between the two medications is the dose - Saxenda can be prescribed at a higher dose than Ozempic.
